The jacket's collar has been made and needs must be stitched onto the jacket. The gold lining needs to be put on and the sleeves hemmed.

The Man-Thong is nearly all together save for the hip straps. They need to be lined in gold and attached. Details need to be made with fabric paint.

The skirt has to be lined with gold and attached to the hip straps.

The Handwarmers are complete. The fabric paint is currently drying.

I'm still waiting for my wig to be shipped. This is really the only thing I'm worred about at this point.

Well, I got through the jacket and lining. Have to baste the neck and arm holes still. One sleeve is almost finished. Sleeeeves of dooooooooom, I say. Took me a bit to figure out exactly how I was going to do them. The other sleeve needs to be gathered and stitched together. Then they can be attached to the Jacket. Also need to cut a collar for the jacket. :faint:

Also need to finish the lapels, get Bias tape to go around the outside of the jacket, grey craft foam needs to be obtained as well as silver Rub n Buff to do the armor pieces. A custom pattern needs to be made for the "man thong" as well as that wierd thingy over his chest. :faint:

Too much to do, so little time to do it in. And I just ordered the wig at 4 pm yesterday (6/25/09), hopefully it'll get here in time to be styled on top of everything else.

No rest for the wicked, I guess. I have to work today from 1-7 and then Sat 9:30 - 3.... It cans be sleepy taim nao? I'll post photos tomorrow for y'all to see when things get a little more put together.

So, Mum gave me her credit card tonight and sent me off to Hancocks Fabrics (a.k.a Where I work) to get a new sewing machine. =D I used to work with a Singer Merrot from the 1960s, now I work with a Janome 2139N annnd it's AMAZAZING! I no longer have to fight with it to sew stuff, which will make Kuja muuuch easier to work on.

So, I'm finishing up an older project that I've been trying to do since about February and then my attention shifts to Kuja. ^__^

Vincent Valentine = 99.9%, Making new gauntlet still, waiting for a nice day to go out and coat it in the new sealer I have. New cape planned for this fall.

Kuja = 1%, cut out pattern pieces earlier, will cut fabric either tonight or tomorrow and start sewing.

Decided the emo-journal of dooom needed to go, but things are getting better for me. Tomorrow will be the end of my first week of school. Yoga class is really doing a lot for me, helping release pent-up tentions as well as tone what little muscle mass I have right now. Although, it ends a little too soon for my liking. ^_^ I'm a little sore, but not as much as I was after the first day. When I get out of that class I just feel so energized, it feels goooooood.

Can't say much about the speech class, only had it one day, but it seems like it'll be fun and interesting. Especially since it's taught by one of the school's more infamous teachers, Skip. He's another teacher in the journalism department, he handles broadcast journalism. He's rather infamous for his mouth, which was fairly evident on the first day of class. =D

Mother's negativity is still present, but has dropped to a low simmer. Hopefully it'll stay that way for a while.

For TnT:
Saix - 98% complete, still need a claymore, but I'm taking a casual version to TnT, so it doesn't matter.

Vincent Valentine - 99% complete, making a new arm guard, still need boots and Cerberus.

Kuja, Dissidia - 2% complete, I have the stuff to do him, I just need to get started making him.

*sighs* This REALLY hasn't been my year.

I got a 2.2 GPA for my last semester of college. When I told my mother about my grades she went postal on me. I'm trying to accept that my extremely low grades were my own fault and I'm experiencing an extreme amount of self-doubt as well as self-loathing. My stress levels are through the roof and I've been trying to regulate them since March/April with lavender oil. A big portion of it is my mother, she's very critical of me and I can never seem to do anything to please her. And since I basically failed the last semester, it's been worse. The negative energy in my own home is destroying me and I don't know what to do.

Since I did poorly in my last semester, my mother has been suggesting I drop entierly out of college and get a full-time/ better job. I don't know what to do or what I want at all. It's a tantalizing thought because it means that I could possibly move away from my home and the negative energy that flows through it. But with the shitty economy, the job market sucks and I'm pretty much a hopeless, unmotivated, lost cause.

So, yeah, if I fall off the face of the earth, it's probably because I'm no longer motivated to keep up with my creative efforts. I'm honestly considering looking into professional help. People have suggested spiritual help, but spirituality has never really done much for me.

I peeked at the website that holds my grades for college... I already have 1 "D" in my News Editing Class. God, what was wrong with me last semester? :cries:

I'm starting to think that this college thing isn't for me. I feel like I'm going to throw up....

When my comp decides to do something stupid and my life goes down the crapper. I'm pretty much failing most of my classes. Hopefully I can scrape by with a "c" in my news classes. My History proff is a douche, nuff said, and I'm exiting his class with a "D" at the highest. *sigh*

My computer's charger is dead again. Never buy anything from Targus if you can avoid it, at least one of their interchangeable-tip power adapters. The tips start to bend and break, which I think is what led to my comp's actual ac jack breaking last year. Anyways, seems like I had this exact same problem around the exact same time last year. I always have issues with my comps around this time and fall, right after school starts.... there must be someone out there laughing at me right now.

In other news, I think I may have the onset of carpal tunnel in my right hand. Either that or I did something to it. It's currently in this cool supportive thingy I got at CVS. Hopefully it should help. It has aliviated the pain I've been feeling lately.

Sooo, I finally finished Crisis Core around 2:30 yesterday morning. Crisis Core is le sad. *sigh* To entertain myself, I went and bought Final Fantasy I for the PSP. It are very entertaining. I wants to cosplay as a Red Mage now... just because. ^__^

So, I ordered a pair of wigs from Cosworx last Sunday night. In particular, my Saix wig and :iconpencilfeather:'s Marluxia wig I promised her for her birthday. Well, we waited alll week for the wigs to come, hoping they would so we could take some photos and do some videos with friends who were here for Springbreak. Their wigs usually ship within 3-5 business days. Well... someone screwed up the address. Instead of "Oklahoma" they put "OAKlahoma"................. :shakefish:

*sighs* I'm soooo bored. And I wants new materia! *huff* Can't get any new contact juggling balls (aka Materia) until the Medieval Fair starts up in April. *note to self - ask off for that and the re-scheduled HanaCon* Next week should releive boredom. Cosplay buddies are all gonna get together and act like hooligans! Of course, I'll only be able to be there some of the days because work won't let me off. Stupid manager deciding to take Spring Break off. *huff*

Aaaaaaanywho, plotting insane plots again. I wants to host an acting pannel and a make-up pannel at TnT and maaaaaaybe Izumicon (if I can get over my personal angst and gripe against those who run it). I'm planning on going, but I will make myself as non-existant as possible at Izumicon, which means: No crazy cool cosplays, just simple stuff and perhaps even plain clothes (i.e. no cosplay at all), no participation in any events, and certainly not taking part in any "crazy" stunts like last year's KH wedding.

~Cosplay~
First and foremost, Ben Nye make-up is awesome. Got my hands on some finally and I can now look 10x closer to Vincent. My skintone no longer matters, ahahahahah! =D I cans look dead-dead. Also have stuff to make my Saix scar, which I ran a test of some of the stuff today. Bought a kit that included Nose and Scar wax, which I moulded some into Saix's scar, I plan to make a latex one, but the wax allows me to create a good "template" as it were for the latex scar. Need to get a large mirror to make it on. I also played with some Ben Nye stage blood, man is that stuff awesome! It's really cool and looks just like real blood. =D Expensive, but awesome. Still experimenting with Make-up techniques to create Vexen's hollow face. I may go consult my old Drama teacher for tips.

My "Shirtless Nuada" icon got taken down for copywrite infrigement, does anyone else think I should take down my others just incase? All of my icons use screenshots, so I'm worried that someone'll freak out, report them, and get DevArt to come down on my ass.

Why does it seem that whenever I have something popular, it gets shot down?
Greeeeat, HanaCon, the thing I've been looking forward too all semester and have fought tooth and nail in order to get to go to? It's been moved. This totally ruins my week. I now want to kick something small and defenseless.

Either that or save up and buy a plane ticket to the Bahamas or other island chain where no one can find me for two weeks or so.
I am now in the apathy stage of my recovery process after getting pissed/ frustraited at my mother.

All I'm going to say, sans that, is that I will not be attending HanaCon. Thank you, that is all.

Never, EVER, get cavaties again.

Had dental work a few days back (wendsday) and my teeth are STILL bugging me. Been on a diet of yogurt, mac 'n' cheese, and soup the last three days. I had to get fillings on the last, upper two molars. The dentist had a hard time getting to them and when he did they hurt like hell. I can usually stand the pain with a little "laughing gas" but this time it was worse, much worse. So, for the first time, I had my teeth numbed. All I said was "Don't tell me when you do it," closed my eyes, opened my mouth, and took the shots like a "big girl." Ooooh, gods above, the relief. I was high from the gas and now my teeth were asleep. A very odd sensation. I survied thanks to Nightwish and a few other good "dental time" tunes. My personal fav is "Cliffs of Dover."

Anyways, my bottom and top left molars have been bugging me since Thursday. It's kinda like that senation you get when you have fillings and bite a piece of tinfoil. Haven't taken any meds to handle it, but I think I may give the dentist a call if it doesn't improve soon. We think he may have nicked by jaw or something. Haven't been able to chew without pain, so I've only been eating things I can swallow whole or break up into small pieces and soak in water (bread and the like) won't be surprised if I drop about 10 pounds after all this is over.

Speaking of losing weight, I've lost about 14 lbs since January. Don't know how I did it, I just lost it. Wonder where it went.... hoping to keep it off though, I'm looking more like Vexen every day. :giggle:

I've also promised :iconpencilfeather: that if I get comfortable with myself, I'll do either Yuna or Rikku to her Paine. This is looking like a distinct possibility now.

I've been at Jury Duty for the last week. It's a very exhausting activity, especially when you get onto a trial and have to make desicions about a person. And if you find a person guilty of the crimes they've been charged with, you have to prepare a guideline for their fate, whatever it may be: prison time, fines, the Death Penalty in some cases. The consequences of having this power can go one of two ways: it can be extremely humbling or it can start to inflate your ego if you let it. I don't really like having that power over a person, I feel that it's not really my place to judge others (as it says in the Christian bible: "Let he amoung us who is guiltless cast the first stone"). But what it's done for me is help me to realize that alot of the problems I think I have really aren't that big of a deal.

I sat on a trial where a man had been accused of stealing a car at gun point as well as illegal possesion of a firearm, aggrivated alluding arrest, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. We were certain he was guilty (he even admitted to a large amount of the crimes) to everything except the robbery. As per that crime, there wasn't enough evidence that he did it to convict him. But what this entire process has helped me realize is that it could be worse. My life is good, I've really got nothing to complain about at all. There are some things that I'm dealing with right now that could be better (more hours at work = a nicer paycheck than $50 a week), but overall there's nothing to really complain about.

That, I think, is probably the greatest reward of Jury Duty, especially for someone my age who may have a tendency to complain about every little thing that happens. As I've said, your life could be much worse, so at least be a little grateful that all you have to complain about are, where the big picture is concerned, really little things.

Hmmm, what to talk about...

Photos from my recent Vexen photoshoot are being posted as I get them edited. They're all having some minor tweaks and touches to make them look colder. :iconneji-nii-san: has done me a lovely edit of one of them that I plan to post (once I make sure it's okay with him =D) sometime in the future. The shoot was fun and possible thanks to :iconpencilfeather: as well as the fact we had a "lovely" ice storm last week. I can't wait until I can take Vexen to a convention. Hanacon is a possibility, in negociations with my parentals for permission to go.

Next week, I has the jury duty. :shakefist: Grrrr, "civic duty" my left foot!

Been working most of the day and I'm about to fall asleep at the keyboard, but I wanted to post some stuff before I crawl into my lovely bed and sleep for 12-14 hours. ^__^

~Work
Let's just say that the end of sales days SUCK. Peeps running to try and get stuff while it's still on sale. :sighs: There were piles of fabric on the cutting tables, which makes it feel very fort-like. I don't like it when it feels like a fort because it makes it difficult to cut fabric, especially when people want over a yard.

What also sucked was staying 30 min after we should have left to finish up the Cleaning/Closing list. That thing is the major suck. *gags*

~The Poet's Shirt
Began work on one of my dream projects tonight. ^__^ It is my black poet's shirt. I got the linen fabric before I went into work and then went over to my grandmother's house to cut out the pattern after work. Got myself a pair of fabric scissors too. Anyways, was fun being with my grandmother, I don't spend as much time with her as I once did. It makes the both of us sad. It's even more enjoyable because we can swap stoires about working at Hancock Fabrics. ^__^ She worked at the exact same Hancock back in about 1989. 20 year gap, same crazy peoples.

Anyways! I'm gonna do some sewing tomorrow. ^__^ Will post photos when completed.

~Cosplay Laundry List

Planned Cosplays 2009
-Marquis Andrea Cavalcanti (Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo)
Have pattern for frock coat, need to find patterns for shirt and pants as well as fabric. Possibly a wig because his hair is fuller and prettier than mine.

-Vexen (Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories)
Yes, Vexen is back on the list. All I need is the boots I want that make me 5' 9" and the shield and I'm good, finally got my Orgy coat. ^__^

-Saix (Kingdom Hearts II)
Saix is on the list as well, just because I love the crazy guy. Need wig and claymore as well as a Xemnas to follow. :blowkiss:

-Aerith (Final Fantasy VII)
Need to finish the dress, jacket, staff, flower basket, and get a wig.

-Matt (Death Note)
Just need sunglasses, wig, and some fake cigs and I'm all set!

-Prince Nuada (Hellboy II: The Golden Army)
Possibly my most involved Cosplay. He requires sewing, for I have the fabric for his tunic, but I need to get more reference of the armor pieces, the sash and royal symbol, make-up, and a wig.

Possible Cosplays for 2009
-Rufus Shinra (Final Fantasy VII)
Not entirely a planned cosplay. :iconpencilfeather: wants me to do it in conjunction with her Reno.

-Cloud Strife (FFVII)
The Little Angst Muffin is another, probably more definite cosplay. I like Cloudy, but he may be a little difficult.

Returning Cosplays
-Vincent Valentine (FFVII)
Need I say more? ..... Ok, I'm redoing the greaves *da boots* and the "fire hose" part of the Gauntlet *the part that goes on mah arm* as well as considering re-doing the cape. Planning to possibly get some leathers as well as the possibility of a new cape. Possibly made out of Wool or Cotton. ^__^

The old boots and arm-armor could possibly be up for sale depending on how I feel about the new ones.

Vincent has a brand new phone! My gunmetal Razor, in all it's coolness, died on me a month ago. So, I had to go shopping for a new phone. Found out that my contract wasn't up until Jan 19, 2009, and they can only do an eary contract renewal thing (which means: new phone for less than the actual buying price) a month before, so I had to wait from November till now to upgrade mah phone.

The only problem was that AT&T no longer carries Razors, which really kinda ticked me off because I liked those phones. But, time are a changing and it's difficult just to find a flip phone anymore. I ended up getting a Nokia 6650. It's pretty cool, and RED. Very Vincent-y. ^__^ What's really cool is that I can read my text messages without even opening the thing up. Cool, ne?

Tis an early X-mas gift from the parentals. =D
