No Work Today

Umberon and Espeon. Ain't they cute? Coloured in Coloured Pencil, blanket was coloured and textured in Photoshop. I wsn't going to colour THAT by hand, would lead to an aching arm.

They're characters in a fanfic I'm planning. They have no names as of yet.

The library was a refuge from the rest of the manor. It was welcoming and homey, small but spacious, and always quiet. The servants knew not to distract her from her reading, it wasn't wise. However, out of the entire manor, one defied her.

He knew where to find her, they had known one another since childhood. It wasn't hard to track her down. Sneaking into the libary, he saw his chance. Quietly, he sank down beside his mate on her prefered blanket as she read, oblivious to his presence. He proceeded to lay his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes and nuzzling into her neck. Taking one of her hands, she laid her book in her lap, leaning her head towards his.

"Am I now allowed to work today?" She asked, playfully.

"I missed your company."
